I have known Andrew since Year 6 as we were put in the same group at Lockleys Primary School. Even back then, Andrew had a wit and we had lots of laughs at our table because of him. It wasn't until Harrison and Daniel were attending the same kindy, however, that I saw Andrew again. At first we couldn't work out how we knew each other, and it was sometime later, that we realized it was primary school.

Our families quickly became close as Harry and Daniel were friends for quite some time. As is often the case, the parents of primary school kids become friends, and where have been many gatherings. Andrew was always fun the be around. Always quick witted, yet kind and open, he brought people out of their shells, and engaged people. He had a special way, particularly with primary school kids. I will be forever grateful for the way Andrew supported Daniel, in particular in cricket, but when Daniel had a go at footy or tennis, Andrew was also supportive.

But, who can forget those emails Andrew sent when he was 'applying' for all sorts of positions in football clubs. Gold. We will miss you Andrew, gathering together at a winery, by the pool at the Halliday's or at someone's home. There will always be a spot for you, and we will raise a glass to remember our friend who has left us too soon.

To Sally, Rachel and Harry, we are here for you all, and I hope this wonderful idea of Rachel brings comfort, smiles and laughs, but importantly helps Andrew live on.
