Andrew, The team first person

My first real involvement with Andrew was when he persuaded me that my lack of solid football knowledge shouldn't prevent me coaching primary school football teams with him. He said "Just make sure every kid get a kick and sings the song afterwards, all the kids will be happy (and ignore the parents)!!" He made a point of getting the talented kids to learn that you need to share the ball with the least talented, as there is no game without a team of players.

That philosophy sums up how I think Andrew saw life, everyone needs to be on the team and enjoying themselves. Andrew was an instigator of events, fun and laughter. He loved to be planning an event, whether it be another camping trip, bike riding expedition, breakfast at a cafe, or just helping someone with a small or large job.

We will miss you forever but your humour, generosity and smile will stay with everyone
