Tennis - A letter to Andy

Andy, i will forever be grateful to you for your generosity and warmth in making me feel like a genuine part of our tennis team, even though i was clearly the '5th wheel' and what you politely described as someone with a 'unique non traditional style' but occasionally effective - Hmmmn!.

You were not always that loving and warm to me however as I clearly tested your gentle giant patience more than once and i did cop many an absolute barrage so on reflection i now have a few apologies:

Sorry for being late every single Saturday morning - even though i lived the closest
Sorry for missing every single easy volley that you unselfishly set up for me
Sorry for being horrendously hungover when we needed to win our game to advance to the finals
Sorry for going to the wrong court address for our game more than once
Sorry for forgetting my tennis racket more than once
Sorry for walking up to the net to shake the oppositions hand when we still had two games to go
Sorry for teasing you about your shorts

But most of all I am sorry that we wont get to do it all again because i treasured every single minute of it and i know you did too.

We had a blast....................thanks mate
