Blonde Hair Andy

Dad would always take my brother and I to get our hair cuts when we were children. We would go to our family friend Vicki Young’s salon. She would always cut our hair and one day Dad allowed me to get purple highlights in my hair, much to mum’s disapproval. But that wasn’t the only time he did something to mum’s dislike.

On one such occasion it was just like any other trip to see Vicki except Dad decided to get his very dark-brown hair coloured blonde.

Dad never cared for what he looked like, but mum was so mad! Dad’s hair went bright yellow! Weeks before we were meant to go back to Mum’s home town in Kimba. Lots of people there hadn’t met Dad yet so mum was pissed that all the people from home would think she’s married to an absolute wanker with that outrageous hair. 

It’s hard to find many pictures with dad with this piss colour hair but we did manage to find one.
