Stories from Rob Stoyel

Andy and I have shared many good times over the years. I first met Andy when I was at Millswood Lawn Tennis Club. I remember a tall, athletic looking bloke loping towards me through the car park. Over the next years, we became best mates, playing tennis, going on a road trip to Port Lincoln, riding bikes down Gorge Road at speed, hanging out at our favourite alternative night spot, Martinis, and sharing many memorable concerts, such as Madness and Split Enz. A highlight was when Mary Anne and I were invited to Andy and Sally’s joint 30th birthday party, which suddenly turned into an engagement party, and then into a wedding – wow!
Andrew was the friendliest person I have known, and was always ready to make you laugh with some corny gag or action. Our whole family was deeply saddened when we heard of Andrew’s passing.
To Sally, Rachel and Harry, Andrew was a good friend and we will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
What a great idea writing stories about each of our special experiences with Andy.
Love from Rob, Mary Anne, Bridget, Sam and Josh Stoyel xxxxx
